Brandon has been part of Logan, Mettley & Newcomer’s Employee Benefits team since 2017, with extensive experience serving multiemployer pension funds, defined contribution plans, and health and welfare plans. He advises plan trustees and administrators on all aspects of plan administration and compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other federal and state laws, and manages the firm’s subrogation and benefit overpayment collections.
His work includes preparing comparative analyses for MHPAEA, guiding clients on ARPA and SECURE Act compliance, coordinating RFPs and reviewing vendor contracts, drafting plan and trust documents, preparing DOL and IRS filings, and supporting plan governance through board meeting participation and legal research.
Before entering private practice, Brandon clerked for Justice David Wecht of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law and his undergraduate degrees from Pennsylvania State University.
With a family background in organized labor, Brandon is committed to protecting the retirement, health, and other benefits working people have earned. He lives north of Pittsburgh with his wife, Amanda, and their two sons.
