Jo-Anne

Jo-Anne brings more than 30 years of legal experience and over 25 years of employee benefits expertise. She began her career as in-house benefits counsel for several chemical companies, including a Fortune 500 company in Allentown, PA, before shifting her focus in 2010 to Taft-Hartley plans. She now serves as lead fund counsel to multiple health and welfare, pension, and annuity plans in Pittsburgh and Allentown, while supporting many of the firm’s other Taft-Hartley clients.

In addition to her Taft-Hartley work, Jo-Anne advises single employers on the full spectrum of benefits issues—from plan drafting to ongoing administration. She is particularly known for her plain-English, wrap-around health plan document that serves as both the plan document and summary plan description. Her experience also includes cafeteria plans, HRAs, 401(k) plans, and executive compensation plans.

Jo-Anne earned her J.D., magna cum laude, and M.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, and her B.A., cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University.
